Steve Rankine

Executive Director

Steve joined Hastings in 2008 and has more than three decades of relevant industry experience. Based in Sydney, Steve is the global functional lead for Asset Management. Steve is the Chair of the Equity Asset Review Committee and Chair of the Debt Investment Committee and is also a member of the Executive Committee.  Prior to joining Hastings, Steve led Westpac’s Debt Capital Markets business, with responsibilities for project finance, leveraged finance, securitisation, leasing and bond origination. Under his leadership, Steve steered Westpac to become one of the leading banks in the syndicated loans, bonds and securitisation markets in Australia, leading over 100 employees across Sydney, Melbourne, Auckland, Singapore, London and New York. Steve has had extensive experience on a large number of advisory, project, structured and leveraged finance transactions. He had previously established and managed Westpac’s Project and Structured Debt team and additionally, was responsible for Westpac’s institutional loan portfolio. Steve holds a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Sydney, and is a member of both Finsia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Valeria Rosati

Executive Director

Valeria joined Hastings in 2006 and has 18 years of relevant experience. As the Head of Europe, Valeria leads the European business operations alongside her role as the Chair of the Equity Investment Committee.  Valeria also leads the European asset management team and is the joint portfolio manager of the Royal Bank of Scotland Group Pension Fund’s unlisted infrastructure mandate.  Valeria represents Hastings as a Director on the Boards of South East Water, Porterbrook and Phoenix Natural Gas.  Recent transactions in which Valeria has been actively involved include the acquisition of Ventus Investments, Porterbrook and Phoenix Natural Gas, the disposal of interests in Sydney Airport and AviAlliance Capital and the acquisition of South East Water leading to the corporate restructuring and merger of South East Water and Mid Kent Water.  Prior to joining Hastings, Valeria executed and advised on a large number of infrastructure and other transactions at Gleacher Shacklock, Merrill Lynch (European Energy and Power) and Lehman Brothers (European Mergers and Acquisitions). Valeria holds a Bachelor Degree in Business and Economics (Honours) from the University L.U.I.S.S. Guido Carli in Rome.

Andrew Fellowes

Investment Director

Andrew joined Hastings in 2006 and has over a decade of relevant experience. Andrew is the Australian Lead of the Equity Asset Management team. Andrew also regularly works alongside the Equity New Investments team on relevant transactions. Andrew is a member of the Equity Investment Committee and a director of Port of Newcastle. Andrew also has asset management responsibility for Australian Pacific Airports Corporation (Melbourne and Launceston Airports).  Previously at Hastings, Andrew supported several of Hastings’ funds (Utilities Trust of Australia, The Infrastructure Fund and the listed Australian Infrastructure Fund) followed by several years working in Hastings’ New York and San Antonio operations conducting acquisition and asset management activities. Andrew has previously been a non-executive Director of Southwest Generation, Melbourne Airport, ElectraNet and the New Royal Adelaide Hospital (the last two of which he remains an Alternate Director) and North Queensland Airports (Cairns and Mackay Airports). Recent transactions in which Andrew has been actively involved include the acquisitions of Port of Newcastle, Phoenix Natural Gas, New Royal Adelaide Hospital, and Freeport LNG.  Prior to Hastings Andrew worked at General Motors Holden as a project engineer and business manager where he structured, raised capital and successfully launched a new joint venture between Holden and several of its suppliers.  Andrew holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering (Honours) and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne and is a graduate member of The Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Andrew Wilkie

Associate Director

Andrew joined Hastings in 2010 and has 13 years of relevant industry experience. Andrew is a London based member of the Infrastructure Equity team, having acted in a role leading the global asset management function of the Infrastructure Debt team throughout 2016. Andrew is a Director of Southwest Generation and is also a member of the Debt Investment Committee.

Andrew has held roles across Equity New Investments, Investments and Portfolio Management in Hastings' Melbourne and London offices. Prior to joining Hastings, Andrew was Manager in Institutional Risk Reporting at ANZ Bank and previously was a Ratings Analyst at Standard & Poor’s within the Australian and New Zealand Corporate and Infrastructure Credit Ratings team.

Andrew holds a Bachelor of Business (Economics and Finance) from RMIT University and is a CFA charterholder and a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
