Andrew Faber

Executive Director

Andrew joined Hastings in 2006 and has 13 years’ industry experience. Andrew is an Executive Director and leads the Australian Equity New Investments team.  Andrew is an infrastructure transaction specialist, having actively been involved with the acquisition of interests in TransGrid, Port of Newcastle, Sydney Desalination Plant, Phoenix Natural Gas, Queensland Airports Limited and Cairns and Mackay Airports. Also the divestment of interests in airports in Sydney, Melbourne, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Athens, and bids for Port of Botany and Kembla, RiverCity Motorways and the Hastings Diversified Utilities Fund.  Prior to Hastings, Andrew was Head of Legal (Specialised Capital Group) within the Westpac Institutional Bank.  Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Sydney and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.

Oliver Schubert

Executive Director

Oliver joined Hastings in 2012 and has more than two decade of industry experience. Oliver is responsible for the Equity New Investment team in Europe where he oversees transaction origination and execution, as well as more generally the development of relationships with strategic partners and other infrastructure investors. Oliver led the teams for the acquisitions of Porterbrook and Ventus Investments. Other transactions which Oliver led included the bids for National Grid Gas Distribution, Coriance, Adven, EVG, Fortum Finland, AviAlliance, a number of regional UK airports and renewable assets, as well as the disposal of Utilities Trust of Australia’s interest in Sydney Airport. Prior to joining Hastings, Oliver was Senior Vice President of Macquarie Capital (Frankfurt) where he was responsible for advising Macquarie funds and other infrastructure investors on equity investments in infrastructure in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to that role, Oliver was Head of Corporate Acquisition Finance (Germany) at BNP Paribas.  Oliver holds a MSc in Management from ESSEC Business School (France) and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD (France/Singapore).
